for those of you who don´t know... the correct answer is that its a tie between the 60s and 70s... also everything before 50s is a pretty long time so I don´t think that fits in very well...

Anything other than the era of Jazz is a poor choice, imho, since jazz gave rise to all kinds of different forms of music from its ascendancy to the pinnacle of music.
Besides, Classical music + Jazz = awesome.

^^ Yeah but Jazz formed out of blues, folk, classical, ragtime, caribbean and other sounds that are great on their own... and as good as some jazz may be 90% is elevator music... also jazz didn´t have one decade of era... the height of it clearly was Miles Davis in the 50s when he was on heroine... so you should have voted for that Razz

I'll go with the seventies.

The second half of the sixties was great, but the first half- not so much.

The seventies inspired most everything good in the eighties and improved on most everything good in the sixties.

Most everything from the ninties on is crap. That is all.

I am going to type most everything one more time because obviously I like to.
Most everything.

I voted for the 70's as well with great bands such as Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, ABBA, Elton John, Yes, Genesis, and many more. One of the best decades of music for me even though I wasn't around to witness it. Would have been even more amazing if I was.

Likewise! Very Happy

♫♫♫♫♫♫ You're on the phone with your girlfriend, She's upset
She's going off about something that you said
She doesnt get your humor like I do

I'm in the room, its a typical Tuesday night
I'm listening to the kind of music she doesnt like
And she'll never know your story like I do ♫♫♫♫♫♫

Come on! Dance with me!

I'm gonna go ahead and vote for 70s but I love the 60s and80s as well. 60s+70s+80s=awesome.

Ohh and jazz sucks, it might have led to everything I like but I still sucks.

Zepplin and Floyd make the 70s win...

but there's good music in every decade, its just much harder to find in some.

Before the 50s for me. WELL before the 50s. I tend to go around, say, the 1600s to 1700s, when there was plenty of classical music. That relaxes my mind...

For serious? The 80s had hair metal.. and Poison and Def Leppard were not good bands in any time period.

The 80s also had the birth of extreme metal though, so they weren't all bad.

80's.

My dad took us (my older brother and I) to TONS of concerts when we were growing up in the 80's.

This is why Vice City remains the ONLY GTA game that I have fully completed.
