If you think it is Master Chief then pick other, but I don't think he is nearly as iconic as the other ones I listed since he hasn't been around as long and we don't even know what he looks like.... I put her on there because she has movies which are actually pretty good which helps her become more iconic. Razz

But Mario has never lost popularity and has been on top since his debut.

Mario, easily. There was a time when more kids could recognize Mario than Mickey Mouse. I don't think that could be said for any other gaming icon.

well I voted mario too... but pacman was the first to come out and even lots of older people remember him... but he just hasn't been around much since then...

I'd say that certainly in Argentina Pikachu is much more recognized that Mario...but the status of Pikachu as a gaming icon is debatable (since the popularity is due to the anime). Mario is well known, but not a lot, mainly due to the fact that Nintendo isn't very popular.

In a sense, the most popular gaming icon in here is Messi, since 90% of people in here when they think of games think of PES, and he's the "mascot" of PES
