Pokemon Silver the NS style

So I'll be playing Pokemon Silver with a little twist on it.

I will only catch certain pokemons. Basically, each NS user can pick one and I'll catch and name him after whoever picked that one. Bare in mind that the pokemon has to be
catchable or tradeable (ingame) in Silver. For the 3 started, zex already got Cyndaquil, so you can't choose those either. Just post in here or you can PM me so others won't know until I get to them in that wannabe-lets-play, which I'll try to take some screens, post them and make a comment or two.

I originally wanted to play this on my phone, but I'll just emulate on PC since I don't have anything beter to do. And the emulator for the phone can't take screens

The trainer's name is obviously going to be NS. I don't have the rival's name yet though, so if anyone has any ideas, out with them.

You know that Teddiursa can't be obtained in Silver (without trading and/or cheating).

then just take any green one that looks high... they pretty much all look wasted... and talk that way...

Hrrmmm the rival of NS.... the only one i can think of would be... well I will let dude answer that.

As for pokemons, Umbreon.
(and yes i know that is is an evolution of Eevee, just make it happen)

Yeah, all good, but...he's playing a PC emulator version, and he didn't mention anything of playing with VBA link and playing with two saves, so how is he gonna exchange Scyther to make it a Scizor?

Unfortunately, I lost the first few sceens where I choose my name and so on.
Here goes nothing:

Our visit to Prof. Elm resulted in NS receiving its first pokemon, zex the Cyndaquil.


After cuddling him a little, we start our little trip from New Bark Town to some random house in the middle of the wood where Mr. Pokemon is.
On the way, we get into our first battle


Of course, with zex's and NS's skills, he is easily taken down... although zex missed the HOOTHOOT once.


The celebration of our first pokemon's, zex's, level! He is now almighty.


After a short stop in Cherrygrove City, where we heal ourself up and receive a Map from a friendly old guy, we move further on to the north, towards the small hut.


The path to the hut was harsh, filled with Ratatas, Kakunas and Pidgeys but with zex on our side we quickly made it to our destination


We're so awesome even he knows us!


... and trusts us with this awesome egg.


So cool even Oak introduces himself to us and even says he waited there just to meet us. heh...


As we conclude our business, NS is to go back to New Bark Town to take the Egg to Prof. Elm. The moment we stepped out of the place, we get a call from him. What a timing, eh? Well he had some terrible news, so we were to come back quickly.


Halfway through, leaving Cherrygrove, we get stopped by a stranger. Some random freak wanted to fight and we couldn't decline something like that.



Discovering he only has one pokemon, and a low level one, we were disappointed.


It took zex only few tackles to take him down and we get awarded with a level! Behold, our first lvl 10 pokemon, zex!


And something we didn't care much because we were too busy eating cake on zex's 10th level.


Day 1 end!

The Delibird part is a joke. I even like that pokemon actualy ^^^

Night 1
Later that day, when the sun already set and the street lights turned on, we managed to meet up with Prof. Elm.
Apparently, a pokemon was stolen and the describtion of the offender is such:

Sounds like that weirdo, eh?


Yea, yea, I get it...

On our way out, some random prof. stops us. Once again, we are so cool he knows our (well the trainers) name.


In the end, he gave us

pokeballs!

Before we set on our adventure, we went over to NS's house to say goodbye to his mom. It was more like "how can I help you NS?" though.


So she says zex

"I won't see this place for quite some time" were the last words NS said before opening the door.


From the Cherrygrove town to Violet city, we start meeting people just standing there. Turns out it you cross their path, they battle you.



Say what?

It's already dark and

a kid like him is still outside :/

Once again zex saves the day.


Since it was dark, we walked back to Cherrygrove and hired a room.

Day 2

Somehow we got to that kid again.

"Of course" answered NS.

And he had to go along with that we and ended up...


The path to the next city, Violet City, was filled with grass full of pokemons. That led to zex's level and...

Ember! Burn, BWAHAHA!

On our way, we meet with a certain pokemon we wanted to see. Some say it was a fated meeting, I say they're pretty common and we just happened to bump into one.

... a single tackle from zex almost beat the crap out of him her.

We threw a pokeball and...


Quala, our second pokemon, pichu the Sentret!
Status screen with both zex and pichu.


As we suspected, Route 31 was filled with youngsters and bug catchers.

Like this guy...

Fortunately, they were filled with cash.


Route 31 also marks the first pichu's learnt skill.


The entrance to Violet City, where the roofs of the buildings are supposedly violet. Ok...


First thing we are told, or asked in this case.


"Sounds like a good idea, lets see what Sprout Tower is all about" spoke NS as we walk towards the tower, where we get greeted by a sign.


Turns out the tower is filled with monks desperate for battle.



Aren't they a little too old for pokemons anyway?

At least they helped with leveling pichu all the way to 10! Woohoo, cake \o/


As we beat just another monk, with a just another Bellsprout, with zex and his ember


The unexpected happens


Well, not exactly that, but!

zex is now Quilava! Cake \o/

On the top floor (3rd or so), we meet an Elder all the way at the end out of the room. Who greets us nicely and then randomly challenges us.



His name is none other than Li!


His pokemon #1, Bellsprout. Following zex's ember:


#2 Hoothoot, which surprisingly survives the first ember, but the second one results


Since the Elder's pokemons were pretty high level, we got quite some exp.

Enough to get zex to 15!

For his third and last pokemon, its just another Bellsprout and pichu finaly gets his turn.


Since pichu's a lot stronger (and cooler), he has no problems beating the crap out of him.


At least the award for winning was nice... kinda.


We were too lazy to walk out so we resorted to easier way.



Now we are out.

Day 2 part 1 end!

Ha-ha, good job. Pichu almost fainted. This must take you a while to put together though.

And yes "Mako" will be a good name for scyther.
