Point System

Well for the most part the system seems to work well with a few glaring problems. For some reason I have notice a few people seem to be getting a lot of negative points not for the post itself but for who it is that posted it.

The entire system really has no purpose here other then adding a little fun. However using it as a tool to indicate to people your dismay with them personally and not there post is not fun, even if it was joking intent.

So what I am saying is I don't want to see people here being followed and voted down for no reason. You should only be really voting if you find the post very good or very bad not very bland.

I agree, no giving people 20 some points either for doing something.

It defeats the whole purpose of the system.

It was a way of paying back all the minus he had received for not posting that photo

Hell, i forgot we had that thing! I don't see it as much trouble though, people who vote things down or up are just doing it for mindless fun....

Na, we have a new system in place now. You get one point for every post and 3 points for every thread you make. It can be configured to include number of friends, but we didn't think that was necessary.

The old system of giving each post a + or - has been gone for a while now.

Yeah, I wonder why, I hope that it wasn't because users were trading pluses to climb up the rankings

So THAT's why I was confused! I was about to say, "We can rate posts?" Though I remember another forum, way back when, which had user point systems, and everyone could rate a user once. That was a fun system; it was great seeing why people liked (or hated) certain users...
