NS Mafia Round 1

Î'll be voting no lynch as well for now. Nothing much to really go by for first day and the "should I let the day pass or random lynch and maybe get a mafia member" has been argued over for years.

well if all the pros think no lynching on day one is the thing to do I'll vote for that as well... *puts out torch and lays down pitchfork*

As much as I don't want to get in the "random lynch vs no lynch" argument once again, I still think a good day one conversation is useful in the long run. The only problem is there's not much to talk about on day one beside "random lynch vs no lynch".

Also, to new players: put your vote on a seperate line and in bold.

So am i to understand that the people here will not lynch someone on the first day, just to use a member as bait for the mafia, then try to investigate it and lynch someone after that? What about the bait...?

would it not be better to investigate something, (maybe interview would be a better word) and try to come to some conclusion before they day is out? That way a member will not have died in vain while siting on our butts waiting for someone to kill them. That is my perspective at least.

^^ Id think that since there are less mafia then townsfolk around a random lynch has better chances of killing a townsfolk... but then again I don't know how the interogation or investigation parts exatly work... anyway...

c03's post earlier makes no sense. For some one that's played mafia for so long he should know that posting that idea would automatically make it useless. When you think about it, it's really all we could do on day one to get a lynch. Making sure there's a No Lynch on day one... VERY scum-like move.

I agree with this. Even if we do end up voting no lynch today, it's best if we've had at least some discussion first. That way we hopefully have a bit more to work on the next day.

Wait, what? That didn't make any sense either, mate. Because that's basically saying everyone right now is scum.

I'm guessing you meant to say I was trying to make sure there was a lynch today, but that isn't the case. I sad "I'm seriously considering pressuring a member to confess something" I wasn't talking about lynching someone, I'm saying that people start getting desperate when there's a lot of pressure on them, and then maybe slip up. It's supposed of being a way to get information. Go read it again!

But anyways, it's a stupid idea I had, there's no point in pressuring someone if I just announced I was doing it. >.<

It was our only real option of getting any information out of anyone Day 1 and you made that obvious to everyone making it useless. There's a number of completely new players here to try the tactic on... but not any more... I'm saying you're experienced enough to understand this and how much it helps anti-towns.

I'm sorry but I really don't see a reason for me to have to give a long drawn out post on why I am voting no lynch on day 1. Personally, it strikes me as strange that you're over analyzing my short posts in this thread.
