No actually its only a sweet move if it works... in this case it just increases the fail... by a lot...

Oh, well, it's Djalminha...excellent player in his time, and this is showbol, done for entertaining, not really serious business. And the top brazilian players always have a tendency to do these kind of things...makes when they fail quite funny
