April 13, 2029 - Day of doom?

An asteroid the size of a 25-story building will come within 18,000 miles of Earth on April 13, 2029 -- closer than the communication satellites that orbit the planet, Discovery.com reported.
The asteroid, called Apophis, has only a 1 on in 45,000 chance of colliding with Earth. But it will then be back for another shot seven years after that.

But seriously, by that time we will have working force fields to protect us, they are already starting to make them.

if its only the size of a 25 story building can´t we just nuke that sucker ???

We already have working death rays thanks to Nikola Tesla, the problem is blowing them up cause more harm than good since it would create thousands of smaller rocks hitting everywhere.

^^ If the rocks where small enough they would disintegrate in the atmosphere... and Tesla never build a working death ray... nor has anyone else to my knowledge...

Unless they don't break apart into small enough pieces, and he actually has a long time ago.....
