The Irresponsible Captain Tylor

This is the first anime up for the NS Anime club. The schedule will be Wednesdays @ 9:00pm EST -10:00pm EST. I will make an event on the NS calendar. Don't forget to check the calendar for other fun things. I will update this thread as needed for any possible schedule changes for Tylor. We can also discuss the current goings on in the series here.

Also, I suggest that you watch the English Dub (voicework) of this series. It is extremely well done and perfectly amplifies the characters. The files I suggest, if you can find them are .ogm files. They have dual audio and subtitles, and best of all you can choose which to watch, unlike .avi files...

Here is a short plot summary:

Justy Ueki Tylor thought a career in the United Planets Space Force would give him an easy life: enlist, get a desk job, spend the rest of his life in quiet, boring comfort. No sooner does he take the qualifying exam than war breaks out with the Raalgon Empire, and circumstances quickly conspire to land this volunteer off the street in command of the cruiser "Soyokaze." Now Tylor faces two uphill battles - against the Raalgon fleet that wants to kill him, and against his own crew, who expect him to conform to some standard of military discipline. But as the war rages, Tylor's easy-going ways might have a better chance of converting his crew than vice-versa.

random fact: mama and papa are among the first things babies say around the world... even def babies who can´t hear it themselves say that sort of stuff... in China Mama an Papa mean the dame as in English... or Geman... but in china depending on the pronunciation Papa can also mean donkey... don´t remember if that's Cantonese or Mandarin though...

its funny, she started to make dad like sounds before mama when she first started to make babbble ya know, then oneday she just started to say teh mama sounds and dada became less and less......little bug...she had her first christmas cookie last night...took little bites but after every one she would sound off a big "mmmmmmmmmmmm" it was so cute for teh whole cookie....so happy being a dad

Christmas week we probably won't be watching anime, sorry. We might squeeze it in earlier in the week... or one our own, but that week will be crazy enough without trying to get everyone together.
