basically, this thread is to discuss football, in particular the build up to the new season!

note: this is for Football, not American Football.

I just bought PES 2010, which will help me learn more about leagues, teams, players, etc. Pretty fun game, first ever football game so I'm happy.

Now I will start to be able to discuss things some more.

Whoa, congrats. Pick up River Plate when you're starting, if you pick a decent diff level you'll lose all matches...it couldn't feel more real

The Master League is amazing, by the way

I find it funny that the MLS all star team is playing against Man U. I wonder how bad they will lose.

I doubt they'd lose by that much...Man U ain't a Dream Team and I'd guess that if it's an All Star they'd have somewhat decent players...nevermind the fact that USA finished higher in the WC than England

dunno when the game is, but its a friendly and we probably wont play a full strength team either, reading much into it would be pretty dumb imo.

I wait for the matches that mean something to start in august.

The game is on right now actually. Started at 8:30 eastern I believe. And guess what, Man U scored already, in the 4th minute.

Real Madrid signs Sami Khedira. What a pity, a great player who'll have one or two years of his career ruined by playing on an overloaded team, until they sell him to another team for 2 cents and then he becomes a star again. We've seen this story already with Robben, Sneijder...
