Mako is missing in action, so he can't make the check.

Sci suspected something was up in the area, but searched and found nothing.

The party continues on down the path and comes to a fork in the road. Which path do you want to take? the left one goes up, the right one goes down.

This is what it should sound like:

The cowardly Mako is abcent from the battlefield, his companions suspect he has been called away by sirens, allas their mission is of to grave importace to concern themselfs with his fate...

Lord Sci finds his surrounding dubious and hastily examines it, unfortunately his efforts bear no fruit...

As our coalition of calamity linger on down the murky path they are presented a divergance in their pathway... one climbs up and the other dives down will one bring them joy and the other a frown ???

I'm sorry but i must disagree... the path leads up so logigally tyhat means we will be CLIMBING! and while im not opposed to climbing if the fairy tales know anything mines caves troll and mystical objects are usually found at thre bases of moutians... that and wev'e less of a chance of falling off a cliff... >.>

The group heads left and up the slope. You turn a corner a few hundred yards down the path and see a bend and the road narrows between some taller rocks lining the path. As you walk a bit, the path gets steeper and there are drop offs to one side or the other. You come to a rotting bridge and since it is the only way across you pass over it. Shortly after you cross, you hear the bridge fall. The only way now is forward.

As you continue the path treking ever higher, you see less and less vegetation. There are spots where the path is only a couple feet wide and against a cliff wall and a drop off sure to kill you. A few small rocks hit your heads during one such part of the path. You are nearly to the top now.

When you reach the top, there are remnants of a big "party". a bonfire and a bit of left over meat litter the topmost clearing. A giant chair sits to the side. the sun will soon be setting. The path behind the mountain leads back to the town, it looks peaceful and small. The path you are taking leads down the mountain and into lots of rolling hills, and at the horizon, just under the sun, you see a forest. You set your sights for that forest.

Now the sun is about to set, it is just above the horizon and you are about to head down the other side of the mountain. Suddenly, the air turns foul with a rank odor. It smells of rotting flesh and sweat of pigs. You turn around and there sitting in the big chair is a giant Orc with his goblin minions swarming out from under the rocks. You are surrounded before you can draw your weapons. Curved Spears and jagged swords have created a ring around you. You cannot escape, one wrong move could prove fatal.

The Orc king motions for them to bring your group closer to him. As he does he grabs meat on a giant bone and starts to devour it. He looks you over and decides with one quick motion to throw you in jail and let you rot for invading his territory. He will punish you later.

You are now in a stone prison. There are no bars, there is no window. The only door is a hole barely big enough to let everyone in. You are thrown in with only your clothes. All your possessions have been seized and have probably been looted by now. The door is metal, crudely fashioned into a hinged door. You don't have any food, or weapons. Dsis was not stripped of his book however, they must have overlooked it or thought it of no importance. It is dark.

There are 7 guards outside, your weapons are being played with as children play with christmas toys. You can hear a scuffle start between a couple of guards over the spear and shield of j0's. They like teh craftmanship of it, since it looks much nicer than their crude looking weapons. the guard closest to the door leaves his post to join the foray and try to claim them as his own.

I'm not leaving with out my sword... I'm pretty sure that we can forage on the moutians for food... isnt that what the ranger is for? But we have to get out weapons...

We need to try to escape and then maybe get our weapons back. We have to be careful though.

Ok, so lets try this, they either eat you, or you can come up with a loose battle plan for 5 rounds, that is 5 attacks each and 5 defense plans each. Who will you attack? Will you guard anyone? Will you run away? will you die? Come up with 5 attack actions (naming which goblins to attack) and 5 defense actions (how you plan to put up a defense) each. Then we will roll all at once.
