Class explanations

Fighter is your standard warrior class. They get up in your face and do damage while trying to shield the rest of the team from taking damage. Primary Attribute is Strength. They get a discount when they level up the STR Skill. They get an increased price to the INT skill.

Ranger is a ranged fighter, skilled in survival. They are weathered and are quite hard to kill, especially as they do damage from a distance. Primary Attribute is Spirit. They get a discount to SPI and and increase to DEX.

Rogue is a thief type class. They are stealthy and can attack from many angles. They prefer to do damage while not being attacked, and are adept at lockpicking and pick pocketing. Primary Attribute is Dexterity. They get a discount to DEX but an increase to SPI.

Mage is a wizard class. They can cast powerful spells and support magic, but should not be in the front lines of a battle. Primary Attribute is Intelligence. They get a discount to INT but an increase to STR when leveling.

skills are loosely class based. (Fighter, ranger, rogue, mage)

Str = dmg -- str * #of hits.
Dex = combat die -- roll combat die based on attrib + equiped (attack and def)
Int = m_dmg -- int * d6
spirit = magic def/res -- roll combat die based on attrib + equiped
luck = random luck for (and defense of) criticals, traps, etc. -- d6

Luck Skill

The higher the skill, you get more d6 rolls. You will only take the best roll.

Luck rolls

Each side roll d6. If attacking rolls 6 and defending rolls 1, then critical hit (dmgx2).
If defending rolls 6 and attacking rolls 1, perfect evade.
If attacker rolls +4 than defender, critical (dmgx1.5)
If defender rolls +4 than attacker, half dmg.
If < +3 no change.

Leveling up

After you gain enough exp, you will buy skill points. Skill points will be discounted for the main attribute of the class and discounted for the race.

Average Price for Skill Point = 20 exp. * skill level (level 1 = 20, level 2 = 40, etc.)
Cheap is 50%. (lvl 1 = 10, lvl 2 = 20, etc.)
Below Average is 75%. (lvl 1 = 15, lvl 2 = 30, etc.)
Above Average is 125%. (lvl 1 = 25, lvl 2 = 50, etc.)
High Price is 150%. (lvl 1 = 30, lvl 2 = 60, etc.)

Battle flow
[Physical]
Combat dice are used for determining how many hits have been landed. The more hits the more damage.

The number of CD (Combat Dice) used is determined by your DEX skill.
Roll for skulls for Attack, White Shields (for players) for defense.
If 3 skulls are rolled by the attacker, and 2 shields are rolled by the defender, the result is 1 successful hit.

Damage is your STR * number of hits.

[Magic]
Combat dice are only used to determine how much resistance you put up to a spell. If the spell was cast (that is, unless it was interrupted), it will hit you.

Roll for White Shields (for players)
Each successful die cast will result in 15% Dmg Reduction.

You come into a room, the room has a musty smell. You see rusted swords littering the room among the skeletal remains of soldiers who made this their last stand. An icy chill runs down your spine as you hear a shriek of a banshee. You cannot see her, but you know she is near.

Suddenly the bones start to move. They start to stand up, some missing legs, others missing arms. The door, which until now was open, slams shut and you hear a loud thud on the other side, as if something large is now blocking your exit.

You are armed with your trusty shield and sword. You cannot go back. The skeletons are moving toward you at a slow pace. Most are clutching the rusted swords. What will you do?

well, you got hit once, since the first skeleton rolled a skull, and you didn't defend on that roll. You defended on the second, but the second skeleton was a terrible warrior in life as well, so he missed. Dsis subtract 1 HP.

Now your turn again, what will you do?

It put its trust in the rusty sword to block your attack. The sword was too brittle to block the attack and your sword slices right through it. The skeleton has been defeated.

The skeleton you defeated was replaced by 2 more. Behind them, you hear the scraping sound of iron on stone, but in the dim light you can't make out what is making the noise. Too bad you don't have time to figure out what that is at the moment, the 3 skeletons in front of you rush you.

The first skeleton that attacked whiffed you, he was the stupid one that missed before.

The second one hit you, and you didn't defend properly. Your shield was not properly placed and you have taken damage.

The third skeleton's attack you successfully defended.

The first one your sword reached dodged the attack. He knew what was coming and was ready for it.
The other two were not prepared and their skulls have been smashed.

You still hear the rattling chains in the dim behind the remaining skeleton. You can start to make out a large looming figure. You smell its breath from across the room now. You can see it is holding something in its hands, which have chains attached to its wrists. Its feet likewise were once chained to something, perhaps a wall.

It grunts and you nearly fall over from the stench. You can now clearly recognize it as a golem. Its rotting flesh is putrid. It must be two times your size.

The banshee you heard earlier shrieks again! You are immobilized by the fear of it this time. Roll a d20. you must roll a 12 or higher to break through the fear that grips your mind.
