Hey guys...

Tomorrow, on 7:30 AM I'll be leaving for bootcamp and will officially start my 36 months of military duty...

It lasts for a period of three weeks to a month. I'll get my first vacation after the first two, or so I heard.

That means I won't be seeing you for all that time and won't join you for anime either... sadly. Because it kicks ass, watching EVA with you all.

Anyway, have fun everyone, cya around!

Have fun... and watch as many Vietnam War Moives to get in the mood... Full Metal Jacket in particular since that one is about bootcamp... Black Hawk Down and Jarhead are good modern ones too... also I moded your gun for you... have fun with it...

P.S.: I liked Jarhead too. People thought it sucked because it didn't have much action. Pffft.

^^ The hole point of Jarhead was that in todays military the Jarhead (common soldier) does very little of the actual combat but is stuck doing other things that often suck and have nothing to do with what they thought they would be doing... also like the first part of Full Metal Jacket it focuses more on the everyday and social life of a soldier and porblems they have that aren´t that obvious... that said I thought it did have some great intense moments that where very well translated from the book... also the probably best war movie of all time (or maybe even best movie of all time) Apocalypse Now doesn´t have all that much action ether and is rather heavy on the psycology of what was going on... which is a million times harder then just filming stuff thats exploding...

Well whaddya know, yesterday & today are a religious holiday! (which the army rigourously observes...)

Thanks to it, yesterday, I got home... and I have today, and the weekend, off...

However, they did tell us to bring gear for two weeks for sunday... bleh.

I'm gonna spend the weekend at my GF's... being in the army really makes you emotion hungry... since everyone acts like a senseless log and you have no friends there... talking to her was a real highlight.

Time there lasts for an eternity - especially with the terrible, terrible, heat. Thanks for your wishes, everyone.
