So overall how was 2008 for ya folks?

With less than 36 hours to go as of this post's creation that we will see a new year and maybe, just maybe things will get for the better or just stay the same old monotony ways. Actually a year doesn't make itself better only human beings themselves can make it better and that's what I am just about to do. 2009 is the last decade of the 2000's which in my opinion isn't as near as great as the way 90's was in the culture. 2008 for me was just another year in the 2000's eras. I just hope '09 will be better.. so the question again is how was 2008 for you and will you miss it?

on the lookout for 2009 It looks like there will be many many things to come like my 17th Birthday. The start of my senior year of high school. Obama's inauguration and the democrats complete control of congress. The war in Iraq finally coming to a close and seeing the troops coming back home... ( Vietnam anyone? ) And don't forget gamewise what we might see for all systems. we can predictions in this thread if you want I'm just sticking to wii @ 75M 360 @ 37M Ps3@ 33M PsP@60M Ds@125M. well you don't have to make predictions if you don't want to. I'm just doing it for the fun.

lets not bring politics to a new year discussion... it is another thread or nothing.

In any case 2008 was a decent year, not worse than it's older brothers in the decade. In some ways it was better. As far as a grade goes, a year is a good year unless it is bad. Nothing terrible happened so I didn't give it the bad grade, it got grate.

As for the 00's are not as good as the 90's well personal opinions can rose tint things... I don't think they are any worse in some regards, and in others far better. However in some aspects the politics of the 00's, while not any different from the past decade in practice, has ruined this country. I will leave it at that.

On the personal side it was normal, I started university (and now I miss my high-school years), didn't do as good as I could but didn't do bad either, no "totally unexpected" events this year.

About the world, it was a tough year in Argentina with the conflict between the goverment and the countryside, and after that the world crisis. On sports, Boca won two titles in the year, a good number, and Hamilton won the F1 championship, definitely good in sports. The Olympic games were very enjoyable (and I discovered that BMX in the Olympics is very entertaining).

Overall, not a great year but bad either, just a normal year

Well it was a great year, I joined VGC on the second 2008 day, and I got many great games and a Wii!!!!

Yeah I got it last week. You really didn't find anything special in 2008?

Awesome which games did you get? Not really, i mean of course many things happened, maybe my Christmas was way too average and that affected the whole year.
