Maybe some here will remember "The Wizard", that nintendo movie from the 80s with the kid from wonderyears that is all about how awesome the NES was... terrible movie but at least it wasn't really trying to hide that it was a huge commercial by nintendo... and its not always a terrible thing that products are placed in movies... if James Bond was driving a Ferraro or Superman lifted up a truck full of Cica Cola that would look weird... and movies need a ton of funding these days... but yesterday I saw Real Steal, that movie where Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) reconnects with his son and makes good with his love interest by competing in robot boxing (so the usual way) and I don't mind that they constantly show Budweiser and tons of other products in the movie or that they reference "Xbox 720"... for me it seemed that the complete movie was a subliminal message about how awesome kinect is and it going to be in the future... every regular robot in the movie is controlled by a "standard boring old" controller... everyone except the awesome underdog robot of the kid... he is controlled by voice command and can mimic the movements of its user... the entire movie culminates in the last scene where the robot no longer can win by using voice commands so Wolverine (still Hugh Jackman) has to take control by doing all the movements himself so we see him shadowboxing like its a kinect game...

if microsoft didn't have their fingers involved in making this movie as much of a kinect commercial as possible I don't know what... Im not even sure if I'm supposed to be shocked at how far companies will go with product placement these days (and I knew they go far after seeing that documentary "the greatest movie ever sold" but not this far) or maybe I should applaud microsoft for being crazy good at promoting their products...

yes dude, i am sure that microsoft embedded a kinect into the robots visual system. i watched it, and did not come to that conclusion.... but then again it was a commercial for the xbox 720 featuring rock'em sock'em robots....

^^ Im not saying the embedded a kinect into the animated robot... I'm saying they embedded the idea that full body control and voice commands are the controls of the future into your brain... and you didn't even notice it...
